Hooray!!!!  The summer reading problem is back!  Programs are both online and in-person.  The Summer Reading Program sponsored by the Alabama Public Library System is up, running, and wanting you to register to participate in it!  Parents, sign-up your children, have them read books, attend programs (online or in-person), receive badges for participation that will lead to opportunities to win prizes.  Signing up for the program is easy.  Click here to see how to register for it.  Participating in the programs and activities is also easy to do, too.  Click on the name of each library to see the virtual/online calendar of activities/events for the summer:  Birmingham , Homewood , and Hoover .   Don't forget to stop by the elementary school to jump-start your summer reading by picking up your free books.  The books will be available for pick-up on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  If you have any questions or if your children want to share the title of a good book
